Botanical Solutions, Inc. to Provide Venture Capital Funding for
Nutraceutical, Cosmeceutical, and Medical Products Along with
Health-Related Research and Initiatives

March 28, 2006 - New York, NY -- Botanical Solutions, Inc. today announced plans to begin funding the research, development and marketing of nutraceutical, cosmeceutical and medical products, as well as other new health-related research and initiatives.

The Myrtle Beach, South Carolina based company is led by internationally recognized dermatologist and researcher Robert D. Bibb, M.D. in partnership with Donald G. Wizeman, Senior Vice-President, John W. Gandy, Secretary Treasurer, Lee Matzig, Vice-President and a group of investors comprised primarily of medical specialists.

Nutraceuticals (often referred to as phytochemicals or functional foods) are natural, bioactive chemical compounds that have health promoting, disease preventing or medicinal properties. They consist primarily of foods, or natural food supplements thought to have a beneficial effect on human health.

Cosmeceutical is a blending of the words cosmetic and pharmaceutical. Cosmeceutical products are marketed as cosmetics and normally contain biologically active ingredients. Examples include anti-wrinkle skin creams with ingredients such as alpha lipoic acid and dimethylaminoethanol and creams containing cellular replenishment serum featuring protective and anti-aging properties. Moisturizers and sunscreens are other well-known types of cosmeceuticals. Cosmeceuticals are the fastest growing segment of the multi-billion dollar cosmetic industry

Dr. Bibb said, “The formation of Botanical Solutions allows me to bring to fruition a long-standing goal of applying years of experience and clinical research to offer natural health care and medical products that help people lead better, healthier and more productive lives.”

Donald Wizeman said, “Our mission for Botanical Solutions is to provide the necessary funding and solid business foundations to a wide range of nutraceutical, cosmeceutical, medical and health-related products and initiatives, from skin care and nutrition to important and cutting-edge research, that will not only enhance the company’s revenue streams, but will improve people’s lives as well.”

John Gandy said, “The nutraceutical market today surpasses $50 billion dollars annually, and is growing at an average rate of 6.5% per year. The $35 billion dollar cosmeceutical market is unquestionably the fastest growing market segment, with an annual growth rate of 8.5%. Obviously, there are outstanding opportunities for the companies, products and initiatives supported by Botanical Solutions, and we are indeed excited to be playing a part in developing and presenting them to the national and global marketplace.”

The company has recently completed the funding of their first project, with a formal announcement expected shortly.
